1. Sgt. Cameron H. Thomas and Sgt. Joshua P. Rodgers, April 27, 2017
Both members of the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Thomas and Rodgers were killed in small arms fire in Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan. Sgt. Thomas was 22, from Kettering, Ohio. Sgt. Rodgers was also 22, from Bloomington, Illinois. They were a part of Operation Freedom's Sentinel.

Senior Chief Petty Officer Kyle Milliken of a Special Warfare Unit died in combat in Mogadishu, Somalia. Milliken, age 38, was from Falmouth, Maine. He was a part of Operation Iraqi Freedom
3. Senior Chief Petty Officer Scott Cooper Dayton, November 24, 2016
Senior Chief Petty Officer Scott Cooper Dayton, from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit, died during an improvised explosive device blast in northern Syria. Dayton, age 42, was from Woodbridge, Virginia. He was a part of Operation Inherent Resolve.
4. Army Master Sgt. Peter A. McKenna, August 8, 2015
Army Master Sgt. Peter A. McKenna Jr. of the 1st Battalion, 7th Special Forces group, died during small arms fire in Kabul, Afghanistan. McKenna, age 35, was from Bristol, Rhode Island. He was a part of Operation Enduring Freedom.
5. Pfc. Tyler R. Iubelt, November 12, 2016
Pfc. Tyler R. Iubelt of the 1st Special Troops Battalion died from an improvised explosive devise in Bagram, Afghanistan. Iubelt, age 20, was from Tamaron, Illinois. He was a part of Operation Freedom's Sentinel.
