If your business plan is to find a dark corner of the internet marketplace and sell kitschy anti-Trump art etched in sadness, then you’re too late. Rosie O’Donnell has beat you there.
Inspired by her feelings of rage and disappointment, the virulently anti-Trump celebrity has started selling her own personal resistance artwork. What started out as modest doodles on her phone to help her cope with the crushing weight of reality, has become a way for Rosie to make money and donate it to Democrats and other anti-trump causes.
These schizoid doodles, titled “scaredTRUMP” have been printed on 8-by-8 inch aluminum and are selling on Etsy.com for $125 each. When her first batch is sold out, she will print another image, and so on and so forth “til trump is out.” Currently she is on batch number 4.
Her product description reads more like a cry for help.
It states, “Til Trump is out, I will keep making these. I started doodling on my phone many images of Trump and his regime. My sadness, rage, disappointment will now be expressed with these pieces… All money collected will be matched by me and donated to ANTI TRUMP CANDIDATES AND CAUSES. We can do this America, save ourselves from tyranny. Love and peace as we move forward.”
This current batch depicts a very orange donald in a suit and blue tie. Honestly it doesn’t look that disparaging or critical of the president at all. It’s just a cartoon likeness printed on a metal frame, signed and dated by the celebrity herself.
Either way, this obsession with Donald seems to border on creepy lately. Can anyone please get the lady a therapist, a crisis hotline number, or even a bit of genuine human contact? Anyone?
