American soldiers killed in recent suicide blasts in Afghanistan were honored last week by the Texas Rangers baseball team. Thirteen U.S. soldiers were remembered for falling in defense in liberty Aug. 26 in the ISIS-K attack at the Kabul Airport. The University of Nebraska also held a touching tribute to America's first responders.
For a game on August 31, the Rangers cordoned off a section of their stadium and draped U.S. flags over 13 seats. Before the playing of the national anthem prior to the start of the game, the American League baseball team also observed a moment of silence in honor of these heroes and heroines:

In addition to the ceremony held by the Texas Rangers, the University of Nebraska created a heartwarming video in honor of America’s troops and first responders.
In the Nebraska video, Cornhuskers outsider linebacker and former U.S. Navy Seal Damian Jackson is shown carrying a flag as he walks down a street. Following behind him is a parade of fans walking through downtown Lincoln, to the tune of the song “This Will Be The Day.”
Several first responders also join Jackson at the head of the cavalcade, among them military members, nurses and doctors, firefighters and public safety officers. At one point, Jackson stops walking as he meets and salutes an unknown man wearing an Army shirt, possibly a veteran, standing with the aid of crutches.
One unnamed Cornhusker fan and patriot said on social media: “The video gave me chills. Thank you for your service Damian and carrying Old Glory proudly.”
