Elon Musk and ESPN anchor Sage Steele both took to Twitter Monday to blast a Minnesota court that ordered USA Powerlifting to allow a man to compete in its women’s division. Last week, the judge cited Minnesota’s Human Rights Act as so-called justification for allowing the brutish dude JayCee Cooper to compete against female powerlifters.
Two days ago, Musk responded to a Fox News report on the travesty of justice in Minnesota, tweeting, “This is extremely unfair to anyone with XX chromosomes!”
One of the few non-woke woke people among the lemmings at ESPN, Steele responded:
Yes. Unfair to women. And the irony of this decision being made during Women's History Month...... The hypocrisy continues....
Unfairness is the whole point of allowing males to invade women’s sports. Male chromosomes don’t matter a whit. All a guy has to do is say, “man, I feel like a woman”, and he is in the girls’ club. It’s a great gig, especially for men who just can’t cut it trying to compete against males.
Take William “Lia” Thomas, for example. He was the 462nd-ranked male collegiate swimmer, so he decided to utter the magic “man, I feel like a woman,” phrase … and presto he’s a women’s national champion for Penn University.
That’s fairness, LGBTQABCD style.
District Court Judge Patrick Diamond gave Cooper his get-out-of-male card just a few days ago by over-ruling USA Powerlifting, which had denied Cooper his dream of competing as a “woman.” Yes, Judge Diamond was a Democrat plant in his state’s so-called justice system.
"The harm is in making a person pretend to be something different, the implicit message being that who they are is less than," Judge Diamond decreed. The judge has it completely backwards. The only pretender in this story is Cooper. He’s pretending to be something he’s not – a female. This should be elementary school science, but that’s asking too much from radical lefties trying to deconstruct commonsense.
Cooper said he was fed up being treated like a man. Tough biological cookies to swallow.
Another real woman, former sportscaster Michele Tafoya, also ripped into the Minnesota judge and the state’s wacko human rights law.:
Transgender women have a Y chromosome. Biological women do not. There are genetic differences. Women’s sports needs to be protected. USA Powerlifting must let transgender athletes compete in women’s division after losing discrimination case.
USA Powerlifting President Larry Maile told Fox News, “Our position has been aimed at balancing the needs of cis- and transgender women whose capacities differ significantly in purely strength sports.”
Stay tuned because this story isn’t over yet. USA Powerlifting is considering an appeal. This injustice needs to be appealed -- to the nation’s highest court, to stop the transgender madness that’s tilted women’s playing fields in favor of men. For good.
