The leading female star in a telenovela is murdered in Rosewood’s “Silkworms y Silencio” on Fox. The investigation leads to a stalker, Jaime (Ricky Saenz), who pursues the leading male star of the show, even after a restraining order is issued. Jaime is nabbed by Rosewood and Villa and taken in for questioning. This is where the ridiculous plot turn comes in.
It turns out Jaime is a transgender woman who describes himself as a super fan. He was done up as a "gorgeous lady" when he met the star. Surprise! Hollywood is hell bent on inserting LGBT issues at every opportunity. So, the murdered female star convinced her male co-star to get a restraining order for protection from an overzealous super fan.
As Captain Hornstock (Domenick Lombardozzi) interrogates the transgender stalker, he learns of angry letters Jaime sent to the female star when he found out about the restraining order. Jaime's alibi proving his innocence in the murder? He was a bridesmaid at his friend’s wedding. Yeah.
Capt Hornstock: Things are not looking good, Jaime. You violated a restraining order. And we found some nasty letters you wrote Maria.
Jaime: I can explain. I-I met Antonio at a fan mixer thing, and we kind of hit it off. And then Maria got jealous.
Capt Hornstock: Maria got jealous of you? Are you telling me that, uh -- that Antonio swung it through the thicket and between the trees?
Jaime: What?
Capt Hornstock: You know, that he shot the cans, worked the flippers?
Jaime: I'm sorry. I don't know what –
Capt Hornstock: That he liked men and women both.
Jaime: Oh, no.
Capt Hornstock: Let me ask you a question.
Rosewood: I have a bad feeling about this interrogation.
Villa: Yeah, me too.
Jaime: I didn't look like this when we first met. I looked... [ Cellphone Dings ] ...Like this.
Capt Hornstock: Now, where are you?
Jaime: That's me.
Capt Hornstock: Where?
Jaime: Right there.
Capt Hornstock: Well, all I see is this gorgeous lady with a bunch of out-of-focus guys. I mean, where are you?
Jaime: I'm the gorgeous lady.
Capt Hornstock: That's you?
Jaime: Antonio knew I was a man and was amazing to me. He -- He wasn't into it, but he understood. We were friends. And then Maria got a hold of him, convinced him that I was...weird. Soon there was a restraining order, and I was upset, angry. And so I wrote some nasty letters to her.
Capt Hornstock: Okay. I'm sorry. I'm -- I'm -- I'm -- I'm really sorry, but I'm pointing to that gal right there.
Jaime: Yeah. That's me.
Capt Hornstock: That's you?
Jaime: That's me. I-I kept sending flowers to Antonio in hopes of talking to him again. I'm his biggest fan, and it broke my heart that he thought I was a stalker.
Capt Hornstock: You have an alibi for Friday night?
Jaime: Yeah. I-I was a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding that night.
Capt Hornstock: Got any proof? Oh, come on! That's you?!
Jaime: That's me, Papi.
Capt Hornstock: That man is the most stunning woman I have ever seen.
Good times!
