You might want to sit down for this … ready? An entertainer has gone on record with his distaste for President Trump! What’s more -- and this is the really shocking part -- he did it using foul language!
According to TMZ, John Roger Stephens (that’s John Legend to you and me and, of course, in his own mind) got all potty-mouthed on POTUS as he was exiting a nightclub in “WeHo.” (That’s West Hollywood in TMZ-speak, you ignorant hayseeds.) A TMZ cameraman, for some reason, sought Legend’s opinion of Trump in the wake of the president’s Baltimore broadsides.
“Our president is a piece of shit,” the singer proclaimed. “He says piece of shit-shit all the time. We need to get him out of office.” Well, sh*t.
That thoughtful response didn’t satisfy Legend’s interlocutor, who pressed for the entertainer’s prescription for what ails Charm City. “There’s a lot that can be done,” Legend said. “There’s over a century of history that created the problems that they have, and we need to focus on making all of our communities better instead of talkin’ shit about our communities just because you’re a racist prick.”
Illuminating. And Legend wasn’t done. “Donald Trump is an evil fucking … canker sore on America’s whole landscape, so we need to get him out of office.”
For its part, TMZ was impressed, saying, “We know John isn't a fan of the Prez, but we've never seen him swinging quite like this.”
So Legend has joined the ranks of swearing lefties who broadcast their virtue trying to outdo one another in Trump Tourettes -- Robert De Nero, Rashida Tlaib, Megan Rapinoe, Samantha Bee, etc. Congratulations, I guess.
