Not “Peppa Pig” too!!!
According to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), the popular children’s TV show, “Peppa Pig” released its newest attempt to join the bandwagon of progressivism by introducing a new character, a polar bear with two mommies.
The episode, titled “Families,” aired in the U.K. on Tuesday and is the “Peppa Pig” series’ first mention of a gay family since its premier 18 years ago.
Peppa Pig, the eponymous character, was introduced to her friend Penny Polar Bear’s two mothers.
Penny showed what appeared to be her teacher and class a drawing of her family and said, “I'm Penny Polar Bear. I live with my mummy and my other mummy.”
Penny then explained, “One mummy is a doctor and one mummy cooks spaghetti.”
BBC reported that the addition of a gay family was included amidst a petition created on a U.S.-based website “demanding” the gay family’s inclusion. The petition reportedly gained nearly 24,000 signatures.
The petition creators wanted to reach kids with gay propaganda because they “are at an impressionable age.”
"Excluding same-sex families will teach them that only families with either a single parent or two parents of different sexes are normal,” the creators wrote. "This means that children of same-sex parents may feel alienated by Peppa Pig, and that other children may be more likely to bully them, simply through ignorance."
I bet many children feel "alienated" by a cartoon pig.
Sure, it may be “normal” nowadays for people to be gay, but why do 3-year-olds need to learn about that when they’re trying to watch TV? Shouldn’t they be learning how to chew with their mouth shut, tie their shoes, or, I don’t know, write their name?!
Peppa Pig does have a major influence. It’s become very popular for young children who watch the show to imitate the characters' British accents.
Next thing we know, they’re going to be asking why they don’t have two mummies as well.
