The exploitation of mass shootings on the part of leftist late-night hosts in order to further their gun grabbing agenda has unfortunately become common practice in the aftermath of a tragedy. Thursday’s The Daily Show with Trevor Noah used an unusual, gauche tactic to push for their gun control demands.
Noah began by making the sardonic claim that certain politicians believe video games are the be-all and end-all cause of mass killings:
Alright, that's it for the headlines, but before we go into our main story, all of this week everyone has been asking, what can we do to try and end gun violence? And for a lot of politicians the solution has been to do something about video games. Because they've said that violent video games have the power to influence people to commit murder.
No telling which writer thought it would be a bright idea to create a video game with the end goal of passing legislation to infringe on American’s Second Amendment rights, but evidently one did. Noah was giddy to promote the virtue-signaling game “The Legislator: License to Bill”:
And that got us thinking, if video games are so persuasive, maybe video games could even inspire politicians to do something to end gun violence. That's why The Daily Show made a new online game called, The Legislator, made in one day, License to Bill. Right and it's all about-it's all about trying to get gun control through Congress and Mitch McConnell is the final boss, right. Who knows, maybe it will even inspire people in Congress to go out there and actually write some laws.
What could be a more fun concept for a video game than navigating the intricacies of the legislative process and having to face down Mitch McConnell? Oh, that's right, anything would make a better game than that. Of course Noah shouldn't be trying to make a game out of tragedy in the first place.
