On Wednesday's MSNBC Live, host Stephanie Ruhle demonstrated that Senate Republicans will be attacked by liberal journalists no matter how they handle the questioning of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford as the MSNBC anchor charged that it is "an insult to Dr. Ford" for Republicans Senators to "pedal in a girl" to question her.
After frequent guest and New York Times columnist Bret Stephens predicted that U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh will not have "credibility" under questioning, Ruhle pivoted to the issue of the Senate Judiciary Committee appointing a female prosecutor to question Dr. Ford during her upcoming testimony. Ruhle began:
Let's just talk briefly about this idea -- this notion, "Now, we're bringing in a sex crimes prosecutor to ask the questions." If you want to say, "Let's bring in an expert," but they made it clear a week ago, "Let's pedal in a girl because that's more sensitive."
She then slammed Republicans as the liberal MSNBC host added:
So, to me, that makes absolutely no sense. If they're worried about the optics, worry about who you've elected year after year who sits on that Judiciary Committee. Is it going to make that much of a positive impact that it's not a bunch of guys doing it? I think that's an insult to Dr. Ford.
Liberal MSNBC contributor Eddie Glaude agreed as he began his response: "I think it is an insult to Dr. Ford, but it is also an indication that this is all political theater."
