According to MSNBC, in 2019 America, democracy has failed. The President of the United States no longer represented the people that voted for him…or maybe he just didn’t represent MSNBC? At one point on Monday night, disgraced ex-Nightly News host Brian Williams wondered of Donald Trump: “Will he ever show a sense of stewardship? Will he ever represent us on an overseas trip?”
Either way, Williams set up his question, beginning with a clip from MSNBC host Nicole Wallace, in which Former CIA and Department of Defense Chief of Staff, Jeremy Bash, stated:
“There in Buckingham Palace tonight, you have a study in contrast. You have the Queen of England, she’s one individual that represents history of nobility and patriotism, she’s one individual that represents history of nobility and patriotism, she’s the one individual who represents tradition and honor and he represents Individual One.”
Williams asked guest and author of “Trumpnation”, Tim O’Brien, “Did Jeremy get it right here?”
O’Brien responded; “I think he got it pretty close.” And then continued with a strange analogy; “[Trump] looked like the guy who got off the tour bus accidentally, went upstairs, got into the party and then was suddenly bummed out that he had to stick around…” He concluded; “[Trump] doesn’t like formal affairs, but he does love drawing attention to the establishment.”
Williams seeing a Trump bashing opportunity, prompted O’Brien; “Will he ever show a sense of stewardship? Will he ever represent us on an overseas trip?”
O’Brien responded with an apparent mind reading ability:
“Donald Trump is a profound narcissist, usually the first thing on his mind when he gets into a room is, what is in it for me? And how can I play this to great affect? He's a very effective messenger because of that but he tends not to be someone who’s parental or a steward.”
One wonders if MSNBC will ever represent Trump on any trip, without their own leftist biases.

TIM O’BRIEN [AUTHOR OF “TRUMPNATION”]: I think he got it pretty close. I think the thing to remember about Donald Trump is he's alternately attracted to pomp and circumstance but he hates institutions. He's profoundly anti-authoritarian. When Bob said earlier that he likes to pop balloons before he goes off on foreign visits, he does this routinely, and I think he actually does it without a strategic agenda other than to cause trouble and draw attention to himself. O’BRIEN: I think someone who has a sense of stewardship and leadership and builds strong teams is someone that’s typically thinking about someone other than themselves and Donald Trump is a profound narcissist, usually the first thing on his mind when he gets into a room is, what is in it for me? And how can I play this to great affect? He's a very effective messenger because of that but he tends not to be someone who’s parental or a steward.
