At the end of a live radio interview earlier today on WMAL's Mornings on the Mall, Benghazi whistleblower attorney Joe diGenova was asked by co-host Brian Wilson to "help poor Chuck Todd out and maybe give him one question that you think has not been answered?"[listen to the full interview by clicking play on the embed below the page break; the relevant portion begins at 7:15 in]
DiGenova, obliged, rattling off a handful of questions [see transcript below page break] while noting occasions where administration officials lied, including in the Obama/Clinton State Department's Accountability Review Board (ARB), which, you may recall, failed to interrogate Mrs. Clinton. What's more, the former federal prosecutor promised the WMAL audience:
We are creating what's called an investigative point list, for the members of Congress, for the public, and for obviously WMAL listeners about the kinds of questions that are unanswered that will put this nonsense to rest. You'll be hearing about it shortly.
The relevant transcript -- taken down by MRC intern Jackie Seal -- appears below:
BRIAN WILSON, host: Alright, so I noticed Chuck Todd that intrepid and very curious reporter from NBC...
JOE diGENOVA, attorney for Benghazi whistleblower: Former Tom Harkin employee.
WILSON: He says he thinks all the questions about Benghazi have been answered. So Joe I know you follow this story in fact you represented some of the whistle-blowers in this matter. I'm just wondering, you know, could you help poor Chuck Todd out and maybe give him one question that you think has not yet been answered?
diGENOVA: Yes I think we can start with why was Ambassador Stevens in Benghazi for the first place? We know that the Accountability Review Board lied in its report about why he was there.
They said he was there independent of Washington. That was a bald face lie and Ambassador Pickering and Admiral Mullen knew it when they wrote it.
Why wasn't Hillary Clinton interviewed by the ARB? The person responsible for running the department during the attack was never interviewed by them.
But Ambassador Pickering lied on national television when he said she had been interviewed and then later corrected himself to say, well actually we briefed her in an exit interview. She was never interviewed.
Why wasn't Patrick Kennedy who was the Assistant Secretary of State for Management held accountable?
What he did was and what Secretary Clinton did was they poured down on people below in order to obscure and who's idea was the video?
Where was the president hour by hour that night? The number of questions that are unanswered is staggering.
WILSON: That's like five, six, seven, eight questions there.
diGENOVA: We are creating what's called an investigative point list for members of Congress, the public, and obviously for WMAL listeners about the kinds of questions that are unanswered that'll put this nonsense to rest. You'll be hearing about it shortly.
WILSON: And will you send one to Chuck Todd? Alright thanks a lot, Joe. Good stuff.
