"[T[here is no way we get through this campaign without Donald Trump suing Ted Cruz."
That's a prediction that MSNBC All In host Chris Hayes dropped on his guests, NBC News Trump campaign correspondent Katy Tur and the Huffington Post's Sam Stein. For her part, Tur was inclined to disagree. "I don't know. I, I don't think so."
Hayes predicted that Trump's lawsuit would be centered on constitutional eligibility questions but predicated on his assertion that the Iowa caucus was effectively "stolen" by Cruz.
"I'm serious. And yesterday, particularly all this stuff he's been talking about [regarding the Iowa caucus] how Ted Cruz is not actually a natural-born citizen. Trump now has cause, he has injury, right?" he rhetorically asked, referring to how a successful lawsuit requires the party filing the suit to have an injury needing redress by the court.
