CNN’s employee handbook must be one migraine-inducing document. Because while CNN continued to allow Chris Cuomo to collect a paycheck despite being wrapped up in his corrupt brother’s sexual misconduct scandal, they decided to fire three people for not getting vaccinated Thursday. This also occurred after the network brought back legal analysts Jeffrey Toobin after he was caught masturbating during a Zoom meeting for The New Yorker.
“CNN has fired three employees who violated company policy by coming to work unvaccinated against the COVID-19 virus,” reported The Associated Press. “CNN chief Jeff Zucker told staff members of the firing in a memo sent Thursday that reminded them that vaccines were mandatory if they report to the office or out in the field where they come into contact with other employees.”
In the memo, Zucker hit his staff with an Obama-style “let me be clear” and proclaimed: “We have a zero tolerance[sic] policy on this.”
According to a series of tweets from CNN senior media reporter Oliver Darcy, Zucker added: “In the past week, we have been made aware of three employees who were coming to the office unvaccinated. All three have been terminated...I think it is fair to say that we are all feeling a mix of anticipation, anxiety, frustration, confusion, and exasperation...I get it.”
"I think it is fair to say that we are all feeling a mix of anticipation, anxiety, frustration, confusion, and exasperation … I get it,” Zucker says. He adds: "Continue to take care of yourselves and each other. And I will share more updates just as soon as we have them."

Darcy seemed excited to virtue signal on behalf of CNN because of their vaccination policy, but he and CNN refuse to share their internal communication on how they’re handling the Cuomo situation.
As NewsBusters reported last night, sharing the internal discontent building at CNN was left up to BuzzFeed of all places.
“Another current CNN employee, who said they were the victim of workplace sexual harassment at another company, said what disturbs them most is not just that Chris Cuomo participated in the strategy calls for his brother — it’s that he advised him to deny and ignore the allegations,” BuzzFeed wrote.
Even MSNBC had published content calling for Cuomo to go. “New Yorkers deserve better than a lying, harassing, misogynistic creep presiding over the state. And CNN’s viewers deserve better than a news anchor who is working on behalf of a politician he covers and helps to manipulate public opinion of him,” wrote columnist Laura Bassett.
Just two months ago, CNN drew everyone’s disgust when they allowed Toobin to return to their programs after he was caught masturbating during a Zoom video call by two of his co-workers. “Both people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity in order to speak freely, noted that it was unclear how much each person saw, but both said that they saw Toobin jerking off,” reported Vice News.
And on Thursday, NBC Nightly News touted CNN’s firings. “And tonight, harsh consequences for those who don't follow the rules. Three employees at CNN terminated for coming to the office unvaccinated, violating company policy,” reported Stephanie Ruhle.
Meanwhile, CNN was also firing conservatives that wouldn’t conform to their radical liberal bend. In May, they fired former Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) for inartfully saying that “there isn’t much Native American culture in American culture.”
This is CNN.
