The director of the bachelor party gone bad movie "The Hangover" thinks Tiger Woods can regain his image by appearing in the film's sequel.
Welcome to the new American dream: cheat on your wife, destroy your career, lose millions of dollars, go from being one the most popular athletes in the universe to a public laughing stock, and end up in a blockbuster Hollywood movie.
With this apparently in mind, Todd Phillips told HollywoodScoop.com last week that Woods appearing in the sequel to one of this year's top grossing films will "help him regain his image" (video embedded below the fold, relevant section at 2:30, vulgarity alert):
Phillips said, "We are going to try and get Tiger Woods for the second one...Yeah help him regain his image." They say comedy is the best cure for anything, even scandals. "Mike (Tyson) loved doing the Hangover because he loved f**king with the image people had of him. He knew we were not making fun of him but of the image people projected on him."
Although Philips may have been joking, Justin Bartha (Doug in the movie) says there is a possibility it can happen. "If Todd says it thus will happen...might happen, you never know. I'm going to talk to him about it."
"That would be so hilarious. Sounds brilliant," gushed actress Heather Graham But she did confess that she was surprised to hear about Tiger's scandalous ways. "Yeah it's so weird, he seemed so clean cut in all his pictures."
Yep, and now all he needs to do to get that image back is appear in a bachelor party gone bad film full of drugs, alcohol, strippers, and prostitutes.
Kind of like telling an AIDS patient that all he needs is some gonorrhea and a little syphillis and everything will be fine.
