As NewsBusters previously reported, MSNBC's Chris Matthews had an on-air meltdown Wednesday after the presidential debate.
NBC Tonight Show host Jay Leno mocked this incident Thursday showing a video clip of Matthews giving his rant in a straight jacket as he's being taken away by men in white coats (video follows with transcript and absolutely no need for additional commentary):
JAY LENO: And Obama supporters were livid. Oh, my god. Did you see Chris Matthews after the debate? I mean, he was just going crazy. Well, look. Show him. Show him.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
CHRIS MATTHEWS IN STRAIGHT JACKET: We have our knives out. We go after the people and the facts. What was he doing tonight?
[Two men in white coats appear and carry Matthews away]
MATTHEWS: He went there disarmed. Why did Obama say that?
[Laughter and applause]
