During an emotional pre-game tribute to the fallen and the heroes of the Boston Marathon bombings Saturday, Red Sox slugger David Ortiz dropped an f-bomb in front of the Fenway crowd.
The FCC quickly voiced its approval Saturday via Twitter:
David Ortiz spoke from the heart at today's Red Sox game. I stand with Big Papi and the people of Boston - Julius
— The FCC (@FCC) April 20, 2013
So is one allowed to curse on television if it's "from the heart?"
For those interested in what Ortiz specifically said, the Hollywood Reporter has the full story in which it claimed the above tweet was sent by FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski.
Is he right?
