Costco Karma: Dinesh D'Souza's 'America' Book Soars to Amazon #1 Shortly After Banishment

Karma-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!

Shortly after Costco announced that it was removing Dinesh D'Souza's book, "America: Imagine A World Without Her," from its stores, it soared to #1 on Amazon.Com. Meanwhile, Costco has been licking its wounds from all the angry reactions it has received and has raised the white flag of surrender by announcing that it will be restocking that book at its stores. So not only has the Costco attempt to yank D'Souza's book utterly failed but it has also hurt its reputation with its customers as you can see in the many reviews at Amazon which slammed Costco:

Boycott Costco!

Costco I don't have to shop there!!! Just saying!

Screw Costco ...I'll buy it here. Thanks Amazon !!!

The Costco story that broke today only confirms what D'Souza has written. Dinesh, God bless you for the bold stands you have taken.

Heard about this book being banned by Costco. Read reviews here and was especially befuddled at Costco's placement of the Clinton book. Promply ordered my America here and sent Mr. Jelink (CEO @ Costco) the message: "Just ordered my copy of America at Amazon. Shrivel up and die Costco."

Meanwhile, the Costco Facebook Page has been inundated by blasts from customers angry at Costco's book banning. Here are just a few of the thousands of scorching hot comments:

Will Dnesh Sousa be signing his book at Costco? I can keep my political ideas OUT of your shopping carts as well as my $$. Censorship doesn't fly with my purse strings.

WOW, Costco is out for me! Selling Hillary's book but not America....Definitely not being a member here.

rumor has it that you plan on building a store in the Midland/ Odessa Texas area this year.....Don't bother, you are not welcome in West Texas if your recent actions are any indication of what your company represents!

After hearing you pull "America" written D'Souza I will not do any business with your company and I will urge all of my friends to not do business with your company as well. What you did was a blatant censorship ar worst and at best a bias towards one view point over another.

Why would Costco pull the book on the same day the movie opened? REALLY stupid business decision or...?

Of course, the tidal wave of protest has caused Costco to lick its wounds and reverse course as you can see in this annoucement posted  in The Right Scoop:

The Kelly File is reporting that after contacting Costco today, the CFO of Costco is now confirming that they will restock Dinesh D’souza’s new book America in the next few weeks:

So was it worth it, Costco? You banned a conservative book and inadvertently caused it to soar to #1 on Amazon while causing a public relations disaster with your customer base, many of whom will be leaving you as a result.

Karmatic Kickback. Sometimes it can be very painful...and humiliating.
