With her first debate question of the night, CNN’s Dana Bash wondered if Hillary Clinton’s vote on the Iraq War could simply be forgiven. Talking to another Democratic candidate, Lincoln Chafee, Bash lectured, “Governor Chafee, you were the only Republican in the Senate to vote against the Iraq War. You say Secretary Clinton should be disqualified from the presidency because she voted in favor of using force in Iraq.”
She added, “She has since said her vote was a mistake. Why isn't that good enough?” After Chafee derided those who voted for the Iraq War, Bash fretted to Clinton: “Secretary Clinton, he’s questioning your judgment.”
