Hollywood conservative John Ratzenberger, best known for starring in the long-running Cheers, appeared on Fox News, Friday, to blast liberal elitists who look down on those without college degrees. Your World anchor Neil Cavuto referenced Scott Walker and noted, "He didn't finish college. So, he doesn't have that prestigious degree. He could be up against an Ivy Leaguer like Hillary Clinton."
Ratzenberger zinged, "You know Ivy Leaguers and I know Ivy Leaguers. And I tell you, those are not the people whose houses you rush to after an earthquake." The actor mocked, "It's not like, 'he's got an MBA from Harvard. He'll know what to do!'"
Speaking of people like Governor Walker, Ratzenberger, who has also provided voice talent for the Toy Story films, added, "You want people to be capable, regardless of where they went to college."
Asked how he survived in Hollywood so long, the celebrity explained, "I got scars."
Ratzenberger appeared to promote Foundation for America, an organization that is championing shop classes and other education for the trade industry. He explained:
JOHN RATZENBERGER: There's a lot of jobs in manufacturing right now, a lot of jobs going in construction, that there's nobody to fill them because we neglected to teach our children how to use tools, and we have denigrated the image of manufacturing.

JOHN RATZENBERGER: There's a lot of jobs in manufacturing right now, a lot of jobs going in construction, that there's nobody to fill them because we neglected to teach our children how to use tools, and we have denigrated the image of manufacturing.
NEIL CAVUTO: If you think about it, John, we're doing it again with the dustup over, you know-- I'm keeping politics out of it -- Scott Walker, the Wisconsin governor should be running for president. He didn't finish college. So, he doesn't have that prestigious degree. He could be up against an Ivy Leaguer like Hillary Clinton. So, it's still permeating our society, this elitism, a little bit.
RATZENBERGER: You know Ivy Leaguers and I know Ivy Leaguers and I tell you, those are not the people whose houses you rush to after an earthquake. You know, it's not like -- "he's got an MBA from Harvard. He'll know what to do."
CAVUTO: That is very well put, John. You know, I didn't think of it that way. You're exactly right.
RATZENBERGER: Yeah. You want people to be capable, regardless of where they went to college.
CAVUTO: That's well put. I always tell people, if you want to know someone who can just read a prompter, come to me. But otherwise, anything else you might want to go to John. But John, it's great what you're doing and you're putting your money where your mouth is. I don't know how you survived in Hollywood and thrived this long as you have, but --
CAVUTO: I got scars, Neil. I've got scars. If you want to learn more go to FoundationforAmerica.org.
