Times have been stressful lately, so it’s no surprise that some people would want to turn to their faith for hope. Even less surprising is when liberals in Hollywood turn around and mock people for that faith. And few surprises come as strikingly unfunny as the first trailer for the irreverent “comedy” Faith Based.

On Friday, Netflix premiered Teenage Bounty Hunters, a dramedy about high school girls who become assistants to a local bail recovery agent.

Friday’s edition of Real Time closed with host Bill Maher issuing a warning to “be careful what you apologize for” and delivering a monologue highlighting the absurdity of cancel culture.  While Maher’s closing monologue did contain some good points, it quickly devolved into an anti-Christian public service announcement.

Like its heroes, HBO Max’s Doom Patrol is kind of a mess. The former DC Universe show is yet another example of TV writers thinking the concept of superheroes being noble people doing the right thing is too boring. It seems the only time Hollywood's even slightly positive towards religion is when it’s also a platform for violent fantasy stories.
