NYT Bows to Socialist Euro-'Experts' on Amtrak Safety
May 21st, 2015 12:23 PM
What would America do without socialist European experts to guide us? New York Times reporter Nicola Clark delivered the latest Euro-flavored knee-jerk response to the deadly Amtrak crash. Clark assumed the crash was caused by insufficient funding, even though findings indicate the train was going double the speed limit around a tight curve when it derailed: "Low U.S. Rail Spending Leads to Poor…
Japan's Retail Sales Dive; Press, Pundits Want Even More 'Stimulus'
April 28th, 2015 12:47 PM
Japan just reported yet another awful retail sales result. Though it far exceeeded predictions of a 7.3 percent fall, the 9.7 percent March 2015 plunge compared to March 2014 doesn't reveal much, as March 2014 saw a splurge at the stores ahead of a steep sales tax increase which took effect on April 1. The really telling figure is the 1.9 percent seasonally adjusted dive compared to February.…
Press Is Calling Japan's Most Recent Very Real Recession 'Technical'
April 22nd, 2015 3:00 PM
So when is a recession not a genuine recession? Apparently when it's "technical."
Unfortunately, the term "technical recession" appears to be well on the way to devolving into what has long been considered the real definition of a recession for the purpose of discounting its validity.

The Land of the Rising Sun with the long-…

March 17th, 2015 8:23 PM
This from a man who maligned Michele Bachmann as "whacko", Rush Limbaugh as a "bonehead gangster", and Senate Republicans as "stooges." What's that old saw about talk show hosts who live in glass penthouses?
Late Show schmoozer David Letterman came through with spirited hilarity last night, albeit unintended, while chatting with actress Shailene Woodley about her new film "Insurgent" and…

January 9th, 2015 2:10 PM
Nic Robertson refreshingly pointed out on Thursday's CNN Tonight that the recent terrorist attack in Paris was part of a wider "world war all in the name of Islam." While many leftists pointed the finger at the American presence in the Middle East or the Abu Ghraib controversy, Robertson put the shootings in the wider context of recent Islamist massacres across the globe.

October 7th, 2014 4:46 PM
Left-wing academic Marc Lamont Hill blasted atheists Bill Maher and Sam Harris on Monday's CNN Tonight for their blunt views about the Islamic faith: "When he [actor Sam Harris] says that Islam is the mother lode of bad ideas, that is horrific; it is offensive; and, as Ben [Affleck] said...quite frankly, it's racist." Hill contended that "Islam is not uniquely violent or primarily violent or any…

That day, ABC's World News labeled the demonstration "one of the largest marches in Hong Kong's history" during an 18-second news brief, but failed to mention that the communist Chinese government was the target of the participants. The network's morning show, Good Morning America, has yet…
