Bias by Omission

The Trump, Musk, and DOGE-deranged media, consumed with their efforts to undermine government accountability and reform as voted upon by the American people, have completely omitted from viewer consideration a critically important development across our southern border: the CIA’s no-longer-secret drone flights over Mexican cartel laboratories.

It’s been our long-held position that the “mainstream media” doesn’t care about anything or anyone except in service of an agenda. This is particularly true with regard to its coverage of all things related to Puerto Rico, and NBC’s latest fluff piece on trap megastar Bad Bunny is but the latest example.

The Resistance Media continue to seethe over the Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) march through the federal government, particularly through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). USAID coverage trod old and familiar tropes, seeking to elicit sympathy for the dying agency.

The Department of Government Efficiency’s decapitation strike against USAID over the weekend has caught the media off guard. Nonetheless, they are mustering a desperate response in hopes of saving the agency that embodies both the Deep State and the worst excesses of bloated government bureaucracy.

A charitable analysis of ABC, NBC, and CBS’s Friday evening and Saturday morning broadcasts would find that the six shows combined to give the 52nd annual March for Life in Washington, D.C., a measly 48 seconds of coverage.

It is one thing to look at the awful suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story ahead of the 2020 presidential election and imagine what happened. It is entirely another to watch reporters confirm these suppressions and talk about them openly.

During Monday afternoon’s coverage of President Trump’s second inauguration, the co-anchors of the coverage, PBS News Hour hosts Geoff Bennett and Amna Nawaz, were disturbed on ex-President Biden’s behalf by the prominent seating of corporate tech chieftains, and repeated Biden’s hypocritical warning about a rising Trumpian “oligarchy."

The returning Resistance Media have begun to report on the Trump Administration very much the same way they reported on the previous Trump Administration: with glaring omissions in service of a narrative. In this case, half-reporting on the initial executive orders signed by President Donald Trump.

During NBC’s recap of the week’s headlines on Saturday’s installment of Today, Joe Fryer hyped President Joe Biden’s “warning about the future” of an oligarchy under incoming President Donald Trump. However, Fryer, like his ABC and CBS network counterparts, ignored Biden’s Friday claim that he could amend the Constitution by simply issuing a declaration and posting it on social media…

The horrific California wildfires have left many stories in their terrifying wake: some heartbreaking, some inspirational, with many more to be told as the fires continue to burn. In addition to reporting these, the media seem bent on telling another story: that of Governor Gavin Newsom as a competent state executive completely in control and proactively responding to the fires.

Friday’s edition of Washington Week with The Atlantic played defense for the Democratic Party in California over the raging wildfires that have destroyed tens of thousands of acres and thousands of houses, with one panelist in particular taking the time to chiding Trump and call Republicans liars for daring to point out the obvious failures of human response.
