Ending DACA

One has to wonder: Are some celebrities promoting communism in their anti-Trump rants? According to Jim Carrey, the hurricanes and politics are linked, “Trump is a fucking imbecile,” and Americans are going to “struggle” like “people did under the czar,” which, unless Carrey doesn’t know, means that his idea of “progress” is the tyrannical communism brought to Russia by Stalin.

Next time you’re stuck in an airport (the only time most people subject themselves to CNN) and Don Lemon is on, pretending to be a reasonable, unbiased journalist,  remember his September 9 award speech from at the GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) San Francisco Gala -- the one where he responded, “Thank you, it’s about time!”

On a day mostly filled with hurricane coverage, CBS This Morning on Friday managed to shove in some liberal bias. The co-hosts eagerly hyped Harvard University’s president and her denouncement of Donald Trump over the “cruel” end of DACA. Charlie Rose breathlessly related, “President Trump's decision affects dozens of current Harvard students.”

Talk about twisting the English language into a pretzel. The Associated Press on Tuesday hyped fear about the end of DACA as it referred to “undocumented citizens” in Chicago. In a story promoting that city’s liberal mayor bashing Donald Trump, the AP wrote, “[Chicago] school officials say about a third of the school’s students are undocumented citizens.”

Suddenly, CBS is interested in the Catholic Church’s stances on moral issues. On Wednesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, former NBC anchorman Tom Brokaw commented on President Trump’s DACA decision by stating that the GOP has been giving people with Hispanic surnames the back of their hand and “declaring war on Hispanics in this country.”
