On Thursday's Morning Joe, as the group fretted over the Donald Trump administration's push to eliminate the federal Department of Education, MSNBC contributor Anand Giridharadas declared that MAGA Republicans want Americans uneducated so they won't be able to read about how bad they are for America.

Climate activists have found a new way to force us to pay more for energy. New York and Vermont passed laws that will raise the price of oil, gas and electricity by taxing the past. New York’s new law demands fossil fuel companies pay $75 billion for carbon emissions dating back to the year 2000. Other Democrat-controlled states plan to follow suit.

The so-called "climate emergency" is Exhibit A in the intolerance of "public" broadcasting for an opposing point of view. Either you perpetually believe we're ten years away from mass death (as PBS projected in 1990), or you cannot appear on PBS.
