On Saturday, NBC’s Today show took time to share one of the top media concerns in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic – that the crisis has hampered likely Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s ability to campaign. Meanwhile, the network broadcast fretted that daily White House briefings about the virus had provided President Trump with a “substitute for campaign rallies.”

On Morning Joe, David Ignatius manages to pull off an MSM two-fer: using the coronavirus not only to swipe at President Trump, but to go back in history and jab another Republican president, George W. Bush, for his handling of 9/11. On today's Morning Joe, Ignatius of the Washington Post indulged in a classic bit of blaming-not-blaming. He first acknowledged that George W. "didn't cause 9/11."

On her MSNBC show, Joy Reid warns that President Trump might use the coronavirus crisis as a "guise" to "reign as a monarch." She also mocks the President as "Apprentice Guy."

On Saturday's Velshi show, as MSNBC host Ali Velshi again used the coronavirus pandemic to promote an increase in welfare and socialism in the U.S., MSNBC contributor Eddie Glaude made time to go all the way back to the Ronald Reagan administration as he complained about an "ideology" "that has demonized poor people" for decades.

Dr. Deborah Birx is a retired U.S. Army colonel who was appointed to her current job at the State Department by former President Obama, but that didn't stop Ali Velshi from attempting to do some petty fact checking of Birx's positive assessment of President Trump on Friday's The Last Word.
