This week CNN anchor Poppy Harlow again showed excitement about the trend toward allowing gay men to donate blood, but she also took the time to lament how long it has taken for the pet liberal cause to advance.

The liberal President of the United States recently invited the conservative Prime Minister of Italy to the White House to discuss matters of mutual concern including the war in Ukraine. Such pairings are not exactly new or uncommon, but MSNBC’s Friday edition of The Last Word used the opportunity to compare Giorgia Meloni to Joseph Stalin for her social conservatism.

On Wednesday's Amanpour & Co. show on PBS, NPR's Michel Martin provided a forum for CNN contributor Miles Taylor to bash President Donald Trump and Governor Ron DeSantis from the left as the disgruntled ex-Republican promoted his book fretting over a possible second Trump administration.

Because they just can’t get enough of bashing Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin (R) and his administration that’s promoted the novel concept of involving parents in education, The Washington Post returned to the well Thursday with its editorial board pitching a hissy fit in “Youngkin takes vital resources away from LGBTQ+ youth — again.”

When it comes to the Republican half of the presidential race, CNN is going to hate them all. On Monday's CNN This Morning, the anchors were outraged at a eye-grabbing ad shared by the DeSantis War Room twitter account. It asserted Donald Trump was pro-LGBTQ and then showed scare headlines of how DeSantis outraged the gay groups.  

North Dakota Gov. and GOP presidential candidate Doug Burgum took his campaign to MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Reports on Thursday where he ever so politely informed the eponymous host that he isn’t an extremist on abortion and that her framing of “LGBTQ issues” is all wrong, including how she portrayed the Supreme Court standing up for religious liberty.

MSNBC's Joy Reid kicked off Wednesday's edition of The ReidOut with a long-winded, fact-free diatribe against the Supreme Court that featured plenty of projection as she mourned that the conservative justices have lost the ability to surprise.

New York Times columnist David Brooks and Washington Post associate editor Jonathan Capehart agreed on Friday’s PBS NewsHour that the Supreme Court’s ruling that the First Amendment protects a Christian web designer from having to create a website for same-sex weddings is “poison” for society.
