On Friday morning, as the networks informed viewers that Facebook has banned several controversial political groups and individuals from having an account, ABC, CBS, NBC, and MSNBC all failed to inform viewers that Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan has been tied to the left, even while the same shows made a point of using terms like "far-right" to describe others affected by the ban.

To be a Washington Post staffer is to simultaneously believe that a) when teenager shoots up a school, it’s about guns; b) when a jihadi shoots up a church, it’s not about religion; and c) when a Christian shoots up a synagogue it’s ... about religion. (An important corollary: when a jihadi shoots up a church, the scariest part is a possible reaction from right-wing Christians.)

Al Jazeera’s never exactly been a reliable source of news when it comes to Islamist atrocities. So it’s not surprising that an Al Jazeera English reporter cried “Islamophobia” in response to reports that an outspoken extremist Muslim leader had a part in the attacks in Sri Lanka that killed almost 300 people and injured 500 others visiting local Christian Churches for Easter Sunday services.
