Before Wednesday’s congressional testimony from the heads of PBS and NPR in front of the House Subcommittee on Delivering Government Efficiency (DOGE), PBS’s flagship news show News Hour offered up some gaslighting on Tuesday evening in defense of the program’s political objectivity and balance -- a laughable proposition to anyone who has watched an episode.

Audie Cornish, the new host of CNN This Morning, has stocked her panels with left-leaning voices.  But today, she had an actual conservative on the show in the person of Rob Bluey, the President and Executive Editor of The Daily Signal. Bluey is a former reporter at Cybercast News Service, where he broke the story of Dan Rather's fake typewriter font in the phony Bush draft-evasion story. 

On CNN This Morning, in a discussion of the Trump administration's deportation of Venezuelan gang members despite a judge's order purporting to prohibit it, host Audie Cornish engages in apophasis, saying: "This is one of those things that people end up talking about constitutional crisis. I will try not to kickoff Monday with that term, but . . . "

On Monday's Morning Joe, MSNBC gave author Steve Oney a forum to promote his book, On Air: The Triumph and Tumult of NPR, and to lament the possibility that the "down the middle" NPR will be defunded by Republicans.

Since taking over from Kasie Hunt as host of CNN This Morning, Audie Cornish's panels--in contrast with Hunt's--have been almost entirely Trump-friendly Republican free.

Journalist James Bennet, formerly the Editorial Page editor of the New York Times before being fired amid a left-wing staff revolt in 2020, gave a talk for The Point, a Chicago-based scholarly magazine, titled “Is There a Mainstream Media?” Bennet, who is no conservative, discussed the intolerant illiberalism that has infected his old paper in recent years and that forced him…

On CNN This Morning, in a segment on Andrew Cuomo's comeback, journalist Margaret Talev said: "The question is, can you be masculine and embrace your masculinity and also be a decent person at the same time?" The panel floated the notion that the Democrats' problem is a lack of "manly men" candidates, and that Cuomo is filling that lane.

On Monday morning, Fox's Bill Hemmer covered the phenomenal success that the Donald Trump administration has had in cutting the number of illegal border crossings to record low levels.

Apparently, ABC News and Disney were against “personal freedoms and free markets.” That was the message being sent judging by the reaction from the liberal ladies of The View, on Friday, when they were collectively up in arms over Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos telling the opinion side of the paper those American ideals were what they were going to focus on.

Tuesday’s PBS News Hour featured guest Brian Stelter, editor of CNN’s Reliable Sources newsletter (and reliable white knight for the mainstream media) to discuss the “chilling effect” of the Trump Administration blocking the Associated Press from the White House pool of reporters.

On Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough whines about Jeff Bezos's new editorial policy for his Washington Post, in which the focus will be personal liberties and free markets, without publishing opposing viewpoints. Hypocritical Scarborough ignores the fact that opposing viewpoints to liberal talking points are rarely heard on his own show.

Actor George Clooney traveled over to CBS and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday to promote the stage adaptation of his 2005 movie Good Night, and Good Luck about Edward R. Murrow and McCarthyism. With modern-day politics an obvious backdrop, Clooney urged journalists to be on the “right side of history” even if it “is not fun at the moment.”

MSNBC may have taken their self-assured and self-righteous obliviousness to their own shortcomings to a whole new level of irony on Wednesday night’s episode of The 11th Hour, The show’s discussion panel railed against their perception of a trend of mass-misinformation by non-mainstream media sources, but seemed quite oblivious to very serious defamation charges pending against them…

CNN’s NewsNight with Abby Phillip, known colloquially as “The Thunderdome”, was particularly lively as conservative commentator Scott Jennings clowned multiple guests across multiple segments. Each own was progressively more brutal than the other.
