Russia invades Ukraine

Well, now they tell you. The network morning shows on Monday all admitted that ramping up oil production in the wake of the war in Ukraine will “take some time.” There was no mention of the Biden administration’s war on energy independence. And NBC’s Today mentioned buying an electric car instead to save money on gas.

Over at the Washington Free Beacon, the indefatigable Chuck Ross wrote on Saturday about the arrest of a freelance reporter with the taxpayer-funded Voice of America (VOA) who had been “arrested on suspicion of spying for Russia” “at the Poland-Ukraine border.”

On CNN's Fareed Zakaria GPS, anchor Fareed Zakaria finally realized what a difficult situation the United States is in by not being energy independent and reliant on Russia for oil. Knowing that ceasing the purchase of oil from Russia will only drive up gas prices further, Zakaria on Sunday urged President Joe Biden to ramp up U.S. oil production.

On Sunday's Meet the Press on NBC, political director Chuck Todd regretted the fact that during his State of the Union address, President Joe Biden didn't make the connection between the war in Ukraine and the fight for "voting rights" in the United States.
