So desperate to discredit a bombshell Bloomberg report that former Obama National Security Adviser Susan Rice sought to unmask Trump transition officials caught up in intelligence surveillance, on Monday afternoon, MSNBC host Katy Tur outrageously suggested that simply reporting on the story was helping Russia “undermine our democratic institutions.”

A Wednesday Fox & Friends segment exposed the glaring double standard the establishment press has shown in its treatment of California Representative Devin Nunes's visit to the White House grounds, i.e., not the White Houe itself, to view intelligence information. Once again, MSNBC prominently featured former Obama administration official Jeremy Bash as a nonpartisan intelligence analyst with an appearance on Wednesday’s The 11th Hour. Host Brian Williams swooned over Bash as an “institutionalist” while Bash warned that the Trump-Russia story “is a huge crisis” threatening “our Madisonian system of checks and balances.”

Appearing in MSNBC’s 3 p.m. ET hour on Thursday, Evelyn Farkas, the former Obama administration official who admitted on national television earlier this month that the Democratic administration was trying to “get as much information” as possible about Donald Trump and his associates, claimed she was actually the victim of a “dark campaign of fake news.”

On Wednesday night, our friends at The Right Scoop were all over conservative talk radio host and CRTV personality Mark Levin ripping into former Obama administration official Evelyn Farkas and the liberal media for censoring Farkas’s “smoking gun” admission that the Trump team were in fact surveilled. 

On CNBC’s Squawk Box on March 30, a former senior Obama administration official tried to take back her earlier admission that the former administration tried to “get as much information” as possible on Trump and his associates before the transition of power – but she only dug herself in deeper.

This week, conservative media have done an admirable job exposing the gaping plotholes in CNN’s new scoop on President Trump and Russian officials that’s riddled with nameless, unverified claims. But our friends Guy Benson and Matt Vespa from Townhall succinctly pulled all the nonsense together since CNN broke their story late Wednesday night.
