SPIKED: ABC, CBS, NBC Skip Another New High in Jobs Numbers
November 3rd, 2019 8:04 AM
On Friday, there was another positive report on unemployment in America. While the unemployment rate rose a tick to 3.6 percent, the unemployment rate for African Americans nudged down to a record low 5.4 percent. Also, the total employment level jumped to 158.5 million, also a new high. So the network "newscasts" ...skipped it entirely. ABC, CBS, and NBC offered nothing. The networks keep…

Telemundo Reports, Univision Omit Record Hispanic Employment Numbers
October 7th, 2019 1:15 PM
The nation’s leading Spanish-language network newscasts offered differing versions of the latest jobs report: one positive, the other negative. One network covers the jobs report fairly and objectively. The other, blinded by its anti-Trump animus, tells only half the story and finds a way to spin the report negatively.

NBC IGNORES Record Low Employment Rate, New Jobs Report
October 5th, 2019 1:52 PM
The jobs report that came out Friday showed that the unemployment rate dropped to 3.5 percent; the lowest in half a century. Yet, the three evening newscasts on the “alphabet soup” networks decided that this historic occasion merited little to no coverage. NBC Nightly News did not bring up the jobs report at all while the other two newscasts spent a combined 32 seconds on the economy.
Catastrophic Thinking Without Solutions
September 25th, 2019 2:52 PM
In July, Adam Grant, organizational psychologist at Wharton Business School, tweeted: “Agendas aren't driven by problems. They're driven by solutions. Calling out what's wrong without proposing ways to make it right is complaining.” This week, complaining was the order of the day.
Major Media Spike New Low in Black Unemployment Under 'Racist' Trump
September 8th, 2019 10:29 AM
Continued good news on unemployment bored the networks on Friday night. As usual, they didn't note the apparent irony that they consider President Trump to be "racist" (or at least issue "racist tweets"), and yet the Labor Department reported black unemployment hit 5.5 percent, well below the previous all-time low of 5.9 percent (and it was never below 7.0 percent pre-Trump). The jobless rate for…

Lemon Slams Blacks Prioritizing Economy Over Trump's 'Racist Behavior'
September 8th, 2019 9:55 AM
Black unemployment reached a record low of 5.5 percent in the month of August. While CNN Tonight host Don Lemon and his panel acknowledged the statistic Friday night, they did their best to downplay it and rejected the notion that President Trump deserved any credit for the strong economy. In addition, Lemon argued that when black voters go to the polls in 2020, they should prioritize the…

Networks Rate Felicity Huffman News As More Epic Than Unemployment #s
September 7th, 2019 9:26 AM
ABC could only devote 14 SECONDS to the latest unemployment news on Friday night. CBS and NBC skipped it entirely. All three networks reported the latest on actress Felicity Huffman's fate in the college-admissions scandal. ABC actually gave that 18 seconds in the promo at the top of the show (and then a two-minute report).
NYTimes’ Manjoo Warns CEOs: Fear Recession, ‘It Could Mean Revolution’
August 22nd, 2019 2:01 PM
The next recession could bring an economic “revolution,” according to left-wing New York Times tech columnist Farhad Manjoo. He argued that when it arrives it would be “time to go full Elizabeth Warren” because of inequality.
Insisting that “a recession looms,” Manjoo fueled envy against CEOs and the wealthy — the very kind of envy that could spur such a “revolution.” Although he attached…

Not on Latino News: Economy Benefiting All, Including the 55+
August 21st, 2019 12:19 PM
Yes, it´s true. People over 55 years of age are prospering across the nation. But so are Latinos - and as one Hispanic investment ace tells us, they are not the only ones, much to the chagrin of the liberal Spanish-speaking media that continue to make a case for an ailing economy about to crash and for Donald Trump to be deep-sixed.

Latino Nets Warn of ‘Terrifying’ Trump-Triggered Economic Crisis
August 16th, 2019 12:34 PM
Now that Mueller and the dossier are ancient (buried) news, the liberal Spanish-speaking media will jump at any chance (asides from its non-stop illegal immigration litany) to declare doomsday for President Trump and his Administration. Case in point: the possibility, according to Univision, CNN en Español and Estrella TV, of an economic recession that could put an end to Trump’s claim to credit…
Was Trump Right About Baltimore?
August 7th, 2019 7:29 PM
Here's what President Donald Trump tweeted about Baltimore's congressman and his city: “Rep. Elijah Cummings has been a brutal bully, shouting and screaming at the great men & women of Border Patrol about conditions at the Southern Border, when actually his Baltimore district is far worse and more dangerous. His district is considered the worst in the USA.”

Rare Good News at Telemundo: More Hispanics Buying Homes in the U.S.
July 19th, 2019 4:31 PM
Near the end of its evening newscast Telemundo, NBC’s Spanish-language affiliate network, recently had the temerity to treat its viewership to two and a half minutes of good news. Three cheers for a buoyant economy in which Latinos make up 63% of new homeowners in the United States.
Kudlow Schools People ‘Painting a Picture of Economy’ in Recession
July 16th, 2019 4:03 PM
White House Director of the National Economic Council Larry Kudlow called himself a “happy camper” about the state of the U.S. economy and criticized those making it sound like the country is in recession. “I do want to say and repeat that the U.S. economy is very strong and that’s what the jobs report [shows], and wages are rising,” he told anchor Stuart Varney on Fox Business’ Varney &…
WSJ: Low-Skilled Workers Are 'Winners' in Current Economy
July 11th, 2019 2:51 PM
The left love to complain that recent economic growth has only benefited people at the very top and left the middle class and the poor behind. The Wall Street Journal just found more evidence to the contrary. “The fortunes of low-skilled workers have turned up markedly” amid the longest economic expansion in U.S. history and a near-record low in unemployment, Journal chief economics commentator…
