On Thursday night, MSNBC’s The Last Word spent the duration of its show on the Nice, France truck terror attack and New York Times columnist Frank Bruni lamented that the “really, really volatile moment” could be used have negative connotations on both European and “French politics” in light of Brexit with “feelings of nativism, wanting to close doors.”

MSNBC’s breaking news anchor Brian Williams has had quite the few weeks with deplorable and head-scratching moments, but he again couldn’t help himself on Thursday night while covering the terrorist truck attack in Nice, France by apologizing to Hardball host Chris Matthews for having “just plowed over the normal hour of airtime” for him.

CNN intelligence and security analyst Bob Baer was on set for the network’s rolling coverage Thursday night of the terror attack in Nice, France but he seized on the tragedy to bash Israelis for responding to similar truck attacks by going “far to the right” along with those who support Brexit and the French political party National Front. 

NBC News foreign correspondent Bill Neely interviewed Syrian President and brutal dictator Bashar Al-Assad that began airing on Wednesday night and, somehow, large portions of the hour-long special were dedicated to harping on Donald Trump’s candidacy, if his lack of foreign policy experience concerned Assad and if his Muslim ban hurt his feelings.

On Friday night, BET and MTV convened an hour-long, commercial-free townhall on police-involved shootings of African-Americans with only distant mentions of what transpired the night before in Dallas but focused heavily on denigrating law enforcement as hunters and “a gang” meant to terrorize blacks from America’s founding, the need for white people to recognize privilege, and lobby for the…

While the cable networks were surprisingly guarded in touting gun control late Thursday night and early Friday morning on the heinous murders of at least four Dallas, Texas police officers (as of this writing), CNN’s assembled team eventually couldn’t hold off any longer in the 1:00 a.m. hour and unleashed their gun control diatribes.

Writing in the Sunday Review section of The New York Times, U.S. military veteran Roy Scranton admitted that he’s come realize that his time in Iraq with his fellow servicemen and women had morphed him into “the faceless storm trooper” while “the scrappy rebels were the Iraqis.”

Making his latest appearance on the Fox Business Network (FBN), the Media Research Center’s News Analysis Director Tim Graham slammed the liberal media early Wednesday evening for using “the old Clinton playbook going back to 1992” in their reaction to the House Select Committee on Benghazi’s report and peddling Clinton talking points to absolve her of responsibility.

During a report on Wednesday’s CBS This Morning about White House reaction to the terrorist attack in Istanbul, correspondent Margaret Brennan lamented the violence was taking attention away from President Obama’s effort to push his left-wing agenda at an international summit: “...this is the third time in the past year that a major summit is being overshadowed by terrorism.”

A few segments after MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews questioned why terrorists often turn to bombs as their weapons of choice, Matthews surprisingly hammered Democratic Congressman and possible Clinton running mate Xavier Becerra on the Benghazi Committee’s findings about the administration’s inability to save Americans trapped at the ill-fated consulate. 

All three cable networks dedicated droves of airtime Tuesday evening to the Istanbul terrorist attack and on two occasions, MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews wondered “how much brains does it take” for someone to become a suicide bomber and why do terror attacks “always seem to involve bombing” instead of something else.
