Happy New Year, Comcast. Now do yourself and your company a favor and fire the man identified by Mediaite as ..really…””the most powerful man in America.”  Who would that be, exactly? “Outside of the president, Al Sharpton might possibly be the most powerful man in America right now.”

A Christmas Day article in the New York Times left no doubt which party they would leave a lump of coal for. The paper impressively managed to spin a current controversy into a problem solely for the Republican side -- as if crime has not long been a losing election issue for the Democrats -- by portraying the GOP as making knee-jerk, stiff-necked appeals to white fear.

Washingtonian magazine has revealed some of the really ugly behind the scenes turmoil and backstabbings that accompanied the departure of Meet The Press host David Gregory. The revelations are both shocking and hilarious.

The Nation’s Leslie Savan alleges that conservatives still are fixated on the image of the Rev. Al as “a radical and a race hustler,” and opines that “because he’s the best-known single figure in the growing protest movement, the right will blame him for any violence.”

Amidst all the Morning Joe talk about the Eric Garner case today, there was Al Sharpton looking out for #1. When Mika Brzezinski began to praise NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio for the absence of violence last night, Sharpton jumped in to shut her down and claim credit for himself.
