Column: Numerical Nitpicking of the Coronavirus Briefings

April 29th, 2020 6:44 AM
Throughout the Trump era, the media have hated the president, both coming and going. They condemned him for not having “formal” press briefings. Now they condemn him for having them. The Washington Post and The New York Times augmented their aggression on the briefings by doing content analysis of the transcripts. They're full of Trump "attacks" and "boasts," but "little empathy."

Column: Press Briefings and Ego Bruisings

March 25th, 2020 6:44 AM
One of the more tiresome partisan polkas we’ve witnessed in the Trump years is the herky-jerky dancing around the White House briefing. First, journalists insist it’s a dangerously undemocratic practice to avoid a daily briefing. Then when suddenly there are daily briefings for a public-health crisis, journalists insist it’s a dangerous practice to air these briefings live because the president…

Meet MSNBC’s Debate Hosts: A Bernie Booster and Joe Biden Fan

November 19th, 2019 8:00 AM

MSNBC has tabbed a Bernie booster (Rachel Maddow) and Joe Biden fan (Andrea Mitchell) to be the lead moderators for Wednesday’s Democratic debate, so it’s a good bet the questions will be skewed from the left. It won't be the first time: In June, MSNBC hosted a two-night debate event where 69 percent of the questions to the very liberal field of candidates were from the left.

July 19th, 2019 5:07 PM

MSNBC Panel Attacks Palin, ‘Evil’ WH, White People in Roseanne Segment

May 29th, 2018 7:00 PM
Condemning Roseanne Barr’s ugly, racist tweet from Tuesday morning about former Obama administration official Valerie Jarrett should be relatively simple. However, the panel on MSNBC’s Deadline: White House took things further. In the show’s B-Block, the panel linked the fired ABC star’s comments to Sarah Palin on the 2008 campaign trail, “borderline evil” people in the White House “hurting this…

These people just make me detest Washington. On Tuesday, Variety published an absurdly gooey profile of the liberal media ahead of Saturday’s White House Correspondents Dinner (WHCA) and focused on three journalists, two of whom (CNN’s Jim Acosta and American Urban Radio Networks correspondent/CNN political analyst April Ryan) are perhaps the most arrogant journalists period.

January 16th, 2018 5:33 PM

For almost an hour on Tuesday, the White House press corps stooped to a new low of clownishly liberal behavior, lobbing over a dozen questions at Navy Real Admiral and Dr. Ronny Jackson to insinuate that President Trump must be mentally ill to the point of Alzheimer’s Disease. This was all despite Jackson’s insistence that he’s in great health.

NYTimes Lobs Racist, Sexist, Anti-Semitic Accusations at Trump

October 15th, 2016 11:21 AM
The New York Times went after the Republican candidate hammer and tong Friday and Saturday on accusations of past sexual misconduct, while continuing to downgrade long-standing, mostly unaired charges made against Bill Clinton, a man who would return to the White House if his wife defeats Trump in November.
