During two different cable news broadcasts on Friday morning, personalities compared President Trump to two different  “strong men” dictators, apparently growing tired of the Hitler comparison. CNN senior political commentator and former Obama aide David Axelrod compared Trump to the Roman Emperor Nero while MSNBC’s Jon Meacham described him as “Stalinist.”

Impeachment seems to be on the mind of liberal historian Jon Meacham lately. In May Meacham predicted that a newly elected Democrat House will impeach President Donald Trump as a "season finale." Meacham's I-word obsession returned to Meacham on Tuesday's Morning Joe when he suggested that Trump somehow committed treason at the Helsinki Summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Appearing on MSNBC Live With Craig Melvin Thursday afternoon, journalist and presidential historian Jon Meacham lamented that Donald Trump’s presidency was “nasty, brutish, and longer than we would like.” He went on to wail that press was giving the president too much attention and becoming a victim of “the longest abusive relationship in American history.”

Glum is a word that described the reaction on MSNBC to the North Korean summit. With an annoyed tone, the Morning Joe hosts of Tuesday mocked the chances for success in the summit between Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un. MSNBC guest Jon Meacham even denied that the summit was “historic.”

You could almost hear the strains of "Give Me that Old Time Religion" in the background as the Morning Joe crew used religion to blast Trump on Thursday. In addition to Holy Joe Scarborough leading the charge was guest Eddie Glaude who recently went on an anti-Israel tirade as well as sanctimonious Jon Meacham who declared that anyone who supports Trump is committing idolatry.

Jon Meacham apparently isn't paying attention to the liberal message (for now) to NOT mention that if the Democrats win back the House this November, they will impeach President Trump. Perhaps historian and failed Newsweek editor Meacham is so eager for that impeachment that he just couldn't hold back on Monday's Morning Joe.

At the top of Monday’s Morning Joe, the MSNBC show ripped a new promo on network affiliates owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group denouncing “false news” as a “chilling,” “frightening,” and “Pravda”-like “propaganda clip” doing President Trump’s bidding. Of course, it was without any sense of irony in how they licked the Obama administration’s boots and serve as home for the Resistance.
