In back-to-back interviews with Donald Trump spokesman Sean Spicer on Monday, CBS This Morning and NBC’s Today grilled the incoming White House press secretary over the President-elect getting into a “battle” with “civil rights icon” John Lewis after the Democratic Congressman questioned the legitimacy of the election.

Following fawning network coverage of President Obama’s farewell address on Tuesday night, on Wednesday, the NBC, ABC, and CBS morning shows continued the lovefest by devoting another 16 minutes and 5 seconds of air time to the speech. That stands in stunning contrast to the paltry 55 seconds the same morning shows offered to then-President George W. Bush’s farewell address in 2009.

To the surprise of probably no one who visits NewsBusters, CBS and NBC went soft in their Tuesday evening newscasts previewing President Obama’s farewell address, touting Obama as having been “the embodiment of hope and the personification of change.”

On Monday, all three network morning shows parroted Democrats’ complaints that confirmation hearings for Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees were being scheduled at too fast a pace and promoted fears that the President-elect’s picks may be plagued by scandals that had yet to be discovered.

On Wednesday, NBC’s Today and CBS This Morning jumped on a former Hillary Clinton campaign official blasting the FBI investigation into her e-mail scandal as an “intrusion into the election” that was “utterly unjustified” and touted Bill Clinton blaming the “bogus e-mails” for her loss.

With calls to dismantle the electoral college, while simultaneously clinging to it as their last vestige of hope, liberals across the country hoped to use the system they hated to overturn the election in Hillary Clinton’s favor Monday.  Not only did that not happen, more “faithless electors” actually changed their votes away from Clinton. On Tuesday, both NBC’s Today and CBS This Morning were eager to promote congressional Democrats attacking Donald Trump’s pick for Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Ben Carson, noting the liberal lawmakers “slamming his lack of experience.”
