On multiple occasions throughout its New York Primary coverage late Tuesday night, MSNBC couldn’t help itself but ooze enthusiasm at the “excited,” “electric,” and “boisterous” crowd at Hillary Clinton’s victory rally in New York City not far from her campaign headquarters.

On Tuesday, all three network morning shows surprisingly hit Hillary Clinton and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio for making a “racially charged joke” during a failed comedy skit at a press dinner.  

While NBC ignored the news that top Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin would soon be taking questions from the FBI about the Democratic frontrunner’s e-mail scandal, Monday’s NBC Today instead chose to gush over the longtime Clinton confidante answering softballs on a liberal podcast. 

Despite all three network morning shows on Tuesday covering Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders answering questions during back-to-back MSNBC town halls, none of the broadcasts reported on Clinton committing a major gaffe by claiming that the U.S. “didn’t lose a single person” in Libya.   

On Thursday, all three network morning shows thrilled over Hillary Clinton holding a “star-studded” fundraiser in New York City while worrying that her e-mail scandal “won’t go away” in the wake of new developments about the FBI investigation. All three cable networks had extensive coverage on Sunday night for the eve of the 2016 Iowa caucuses and with Hardball host Chris Matthews among the cast of characters on MSNBC, there was no shortage of notable comments ranging Matthews admitting that he has “butterflies out there in the locker room” ahead of the vote to gushing that he “like[s] Hillary personally and politically.”

Sunday's World News Tonight on ABC and the NBC Nightly News on the eve of the Iowa caucuses (with golf on CBS) previewsed the Democratic race. ABC parroted Hillary Clinton’s dismissal of e-mail scandal as a partisan hit job while NBC touted an “exclusive look” at a smartphone app that will be utilized by the Clinton campaign.

After having spent seven and a half minutes on Tuesday trumpeting President Obama’s executive actions on gun control, CBS Evening News anchor Scott Pelley eventually turned his newscast to the 2016 election and invoked Ronald Reagan in lecturing Republicans that “he wouldn't recognize the melee just four weeks before Iowa.”

In a stunning contrast displayed in back-to-back reports on Tuesday’s Today show, NBC correspondents portrayed chaos in the Republican presidential race while hailing Hillary Clinton as having all but won the White House.  

The network morning shows on Monday hyped Hillary Clinton’s dismissal of Donald Trump’s attacks, instead promoting the “popular” Bill Clinton. On Good Morning America, Cecilia Vega enthused, “Bill Clinton has enormously high popularity numbers. But even with all of these attacks coming from Trump, her campaign and Hillary Clinton herself calls him their secret weapon.”
