Even though Barack Obama left the presidency 99 days ago, MSNBC showed late Thursday night why any criticism of him remains unacceptable. On Thursday’s 11th Hour, fill-in host Joy Reid went ballistic when former George W. Bush chief of staff Andy Card suggested that Obama came into office without a distinct set of beliefs to support his decision-making.

Yes, Brian Williams is supposedly and genuinely fearful about the future of American conservatism. On Thursday’s The 11th Hour, the disgraced anchor fretted to George Will on liberal MSNBC of all places about conservatism and that “[f]or many years, you were the Republican on mainstream media, before the days where every American woke up to a cable network custom designed to agree with them.” 

The awkwardness for viewers of MSNBC’s The 11th Hour on Wednesday had to have been through the roof as host Brian Williams tried to tiptoe his way through covering Bill O’Reilly’s axing from the Fox News Channel. This awkwardness, of course, has to do with Williams’s own scandal from 2015 that led to his own downfall from NBC Nightly News.

Once again, MSNBC prominently featured former Obama administration official Jeremy Bash as a nonpartisan intelligence analyst with an appearance on Wednesday’s The 11th Hour. Host Brian Williams swooned over Bash as an “institutionalist” while Bash warned that the Trump-Russia story “is a huge crisis” threatening “our Madisonian system of checks and balances.”

Pot, meet kettle. On Tuesday’s 11th Hour, MSNBC’s serial liar Brian Williams complained that President Donald Trump was “diminish[ing] our institutions” by touting Fox News and turning attention away from the litany of Russia investigations. As if he and the media aren’t in control of the news agenda, he also bemoaned the lack of coverage on Trump’s environmental policies.
