CBS This Morning

Liberal journalists are worried. CBS This Morning on Tuesday continued the onslaught against Howard Schultz and his potential 2020 independent bid. Very worried that the former Starbucks CEO could reelect Donald Trump, the show’s hosts played a clip of a heckler calling him an “a**hole” and wondered if would reconsider.

On Monday's CBS This Morning, as Seth Doane reported live from Rome, the CBS reporter made a major flub as he actually stated that Pope Francis "spoke out strongly in favor of abortion" without catching his mistake. The misstatement went uncorrected as the anchors did not notice the error either.

In the aftermath of two men getting into a road rage incident in Massachusetts which ended after a concealed carry permit holder helped tamp down the situation, the broadcast networks and Fox News Channel all gave attention to video of the story, which includes footage of one man holding onto the hood of an SUV while it was being driven as rapidly as 70 mph. The news that Howard Schultz, the former CEO of Starbucks, is strongly looking at a third party bid for the White House has clearly rattled members of the media. Given that Schultz holds liberal views on abortion, exiting the Paris Climate Agreement, illegal immigration, and other issues, it’s clear that CBS worries his candidacy will split the Democratic vote and reelect Donald Trump.

The journalists at CBS This Morning couldn’t quite believe that Chris Christie would disagree with the guns-drawn, predawn raid on Roger Stone.  Co-host Norah O’Donnell icily deemed it “interesting that the former New Jersey governor offered a different take. Christie appeared to discuss his new book, but more than half of the interview was spent on the Stone raid. 

With day 34 of America’s longest government shutdown having come and gone, federal workers are set to miss their second paycheck, effectively putting many of them in a pretty bad bind. ABC’s Good Morning America admitted Monday that the incident at the March for Life that went viral appearing to show Catholic teens in MAGA hats sneering at a Native American veteran, was taken out of context. However, ABC failed to acknowledge that their own network also slandered these kids with their hasty reporting based off of on one viral video.
