After Democrats shut down the government on Friday over their demand to protect illegal immigrants from deportation, all three broadcast networks spent the weekend reaching back to 2013 to accuse Donald Trump of changing his mind on the legislative tactic. At the same time, NBC, ABC and CBS completely ignored the stunning hypocrisy of Democratic leader Chuck Schumer.

This week there has been a stark contrast in the selection of illegal immigration-related stories by FNC and by the other networks as Fox and Friends has been covering the trial of an illegal immigrant in California who murdered two police officers in 2014, and bragged about it in court. For the first time in history, the president is addressing the March for Life live via satellite. But does that mean that the media, who report on his every tweet, will finally give the pro-life marchers – and the millions of unborn they stand for – the coverage they deserve?

The journalists at CBS This Morning allowed Senator Cory Booker to smear Trump administration officials with what sounded like a Nazi comparison. The Democrat appeared, Wednesday, to gloat about his theatrical attack on Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and her recounting of whether Donald Trump used a profanity in the Oval Office. 

Ann Curry is “not surprised” at the allegations of abuse by her former Today co-host Matt Lauer. She also called out the “verbal sexual harassment” at NBC. Those were the big revelations when Curry appeared on CBS This Morning, Wednesday, to discuss the Me Too movement and her return to TV. 

CBS This Morning journalist Major Garrett on Tuesday jumped to blame Donald Trump and Republican “hardliners” for a potential government shutdown. Garrett made little effort to find culpability for the liberal Democrats in the Senate who are demanding a clean DACA bill in return for keeping the government open.

In an official statement on Friday, the Department of Justice announced the indictment of former Maryland executive Mark Lambert on “11 counts related to foreign bribery, fraud and money laundering scheme.” The indictment effectively tied Lambert to the Uranium One scandal because his alleged illicit activity involved JSC Techsnabexport (TENEX), an arm of Russia’s State Atomic Energy Corporation…

In a laughable article for Thursday’s Washington Post, the paper’s Weather Editor Jason Samenow assured readers that record-breaking cold temperatures being experienced across the country this winter were “exceptionally weird” and in no way challenged the theory of global warming.

During a report questioning President Trump’s “mental fitness” on Friday’s CBS This Morning, Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Jon LaPook also smeared Ronald Reagan by promoting a disproved conspiracy theory about the 40th president’s health: “And there are questions about whether Ronald Reagan had symptoms of Alzheimer’s while in office.”  

CBS This Morning co-host Norah O’Donnell on Friday pestered veteran journalist Bob Schieffer about Donald Trump’s “mental fitness” and encouraged the veteran reporter to tout the gossipy book by Michael Wolff. Asked about the error-filled tome, Scheiffer praised, “ I think he really nailed the chaos in the White House. And I think he was right on.” 

CBS journalists, who have downplayed the problem of illegal immigration, on Thursday chose the sympathetic story of DACA medical school student Dreamers. The on-screen graphic for the segment read, “Dream in Jeopardy.” Co-host Norah O’Donnell introduced reporter Adrianna Diaz as “outside of Chicago where a group of future doctors is watching the DACA debate very nervously.” 

CBS REALLY loves The Post. The journalists at CBS This Morning have now devoted 20 minutes and 48 seconds over the last month to promoting the Vietnam-era film about The Washington Post’s efforts to publish the Pentagon Papers. Unsurprisingly, the hosts at CBS really enjoy a movie that touts “non-partisan” reporters as “heroes” for exposing a Republican president. 

CBS on Tuesday announced that John Dickerson will be taking over as co-host of CBS This Morning, replacing the disgraced Charlie Rose. Rose, when he wasn’t allegedly sexually harassing women, offered sycophantic liberal spin. Dickerson, in contrast might provide more balance than that as he’s conceded liberal bias on at least four separate occasions.

On Monday, the three network morning shows were in ecstasy over Oprah Winfrey’s Golden Globes acceptance speech and already predicting a 2020 presidential run for the former daytime talk show host. Anchors and correspondents seemed to be trying to outdo one another in who could heap more sycophantic praise on the liberal entertainer.
