Who does David Jolly think he is? Joe Scarborough? On Wednesday’s Hardball, the frequent MSNBC guest and former Florida Republican Congressman blasted his party as racists for not pushing for gun control post-Las Vegas by a white shooter but calling for immigration changes following Tuesday’s Manhattan terror attack by an Uzbeki immigrant.

The past few weeks have seen journalists express hatred for a Gold Star father, Donald Trump and the National Anthem itself, but at the same time show love for an anti-Trump Republican and sympathy for failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. The following is a collection of the worst journalist outbursts from the past few weeks.

On Wednesday, MSNBC’s Hardball continued the media’s push to diagnose President Trump as mentally ill, thanks to host Chris Matthews, Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson, and especially Ron Reagan, who declared Trump to be “a sociopathic, malignant narcissist” “vomited...up” by “the Electoral College.”

Though he wasn’t able to out-do CNN in the gushiness department, MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews gave it his best shot on Tuesday by proclaiming the blistering anti-Trump speech by Republican Senator Jeff Flake (Ariz.) as something “straight from a great novel or movie.”

MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews and New York Times columnist Michelle Goldberg dredged up the drumbeat of presidential impeachment on Tuesday night, declaring that the contents of a Washington Post about tension within the Trump White House warrants “near-edge impeachment territory” if it weren’t for the “unbelievable cowardice” by Republicans.

On Tuesday's Hardball, during a discussion of how Republicans are responding to calls for more gun laws in the aftermath of the Las Vegas attack, host Chris Matthews mocked several GOP U.S. Senators as "ballsy bastards" after playing a clip of them recommending against debating new gun laws.

On Friday's Hardball on MSNBC, during an interview with former Washington Post reporter Sally Quinn, host Chris Matthews oddly gushed over his liberal guest's claims in her book that she had put "hexes" on people and possibly caused their early demise. She even made a crack about how her friends keep trying to get her to put a hex on President Donald Trump.  

Following the lead of Thursday’s White House press briefing, MSNBC’s Hardball decided to not discuss how the Trump tax reform plan could help millions of Americans by unleashing massive economic growth, but instead how President Trump would benefit from it.
