In a display of irresponsibility on Thursday night, MSNBC’s Hardball panel predicted with hints of approval that “Leninist” President Trump will be to blame if disease outbreaks or terror attacks occur on U.S. soil during his presidency should he shrink the size of government spending and federal bureaucracy.

In less than 20 minutes, host Chris Matthews compared a “manic” Trump to Jack Nicholson from A Few Good Men and Alger Hiss attempting to wiggle his way out of being deemed a Soviet spy.

On Wednesday night, MSNBC’s Hardball guests Tim Weiner and Malcom Nance equated the speculated ties between the Trump administration/campaign and Russia to “the most politically charged counterintelligence investigation since the Soviets stole the secret of the atomic bomb” or the Queen of England compromising Abraham Lincoln.
