If you want a secure border, you’re probably a racist, is the message you could take away from last night’s airing of The Late Show on CBS. Mid-show, host Stephen Colbert sat down with CNN anchor Don Lemon and the journalist basically blamed the border situation on white people fearful of losing their “privilege” in society.

During Monday night's edition of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, host Stephen Colbert trashed the Trump Administration's policy of “forcibly separating immigrant children from their parents,” comparing the policy to an “all-baby reboot” of “The Shawshank Redemption.”

Stephen Colbert not surprisingly has attempted to use his Catholic faith to make a political point, and unbeknownst to him, he failed at it. He was referring to the incidents at the border involving illegal immigrants and their children. Colbert called attention to how AG Jeff Sessions defended the government’s actions at the border with a quote from Romans.

CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King on Thursday fawned over porn star lawyer Michael Avenatti, hailing him as a “rock star.” King, a Democratic donor who is lobbying Oprah Winfrey to run for president, touted the appearance of Avenatti on Wednesday’s Late Show With Stephen Colbert. 

It was a case of the pot calling the kettle black on CBS’s The Late Show Monday evening, when guest Chris Matthews rallied his fellow liberals and members of the media to show the world what “moral goodness” is, while Trump’s in office.
