Donald Trump officially launched his presidential bid in 2016, but according to an NBC producer the campaign started “decades” earlier in NBC appearances. For years, Trump campaigned on NBC and CBS late night shows reiterating talking points similar to ones he’s used in his presidential campaign, according to former Tonight Show producer Dave Berg’s July 11, USA Today op-ed.

Stephen Colbert stooped to a new low on Tuesday night when he connected Donald Trump to Naziism and used a swastika to represent the businessman’s beliefs. In a so-called comedy bit, the Late Show host used a chalkboard to mock Trump’s attacks on Barack Obama. It’s a tale of two female candidates, one the media loves, and one the media hates. When Carly Fiorina started singing to Ted Cruz’s young daughter on the stage this week the media reacted harshly, calling her “creepy” with even comedian Stephen Colbert likening it to the “wicked stepmother” singing, (which I guess isn’t as bad as being called “Lucifer.”)  

During a taped softball interview with Hillary Clinton aired on CBS’s Late Show Monday night, liberal host Stephen Colbert fretted that Republicans would run the Democratic frontrunner through a “meat slicer” if she became president.
