AP, NY Times Ignore Hillary's Reference to 'Unborn Person'
April 3rd, 2016 10:21 PM
Earlier this evening, Curtis Houck at NewsBusters noted how Hillary Clinton committed an obvious gaffe for someone who is supposedly radically pro-abortion. On NBC's Meet the Press, Chuck Todd asked, "When, or if, does an unborn child have constitutional rights?" Mrs. Clinton responded that "the unborn person doesn't have constitutional rights."
The best way to tell when a leftist's gaffe is…
USA Today: Obama Commuted Sentences of Only 'Low-Level Inmates'
April 3rd, 2016 5:56 PM
The antennae went up when I saw the following tease on the front page of Thursday's USA Today print edition: "Obama commutes sentences for 61 low-level inmates." The brief description which immediately followed told readers that "He has cut sentences for 248 so far, more than (the) previous 6 presidents combined, official says."
Hmm. What's a "low-level inmate"? The underlying Page 3A article by…

AP Video on Small Biz Reax to $15/Hr. Min. Wage Stays in San Francisco
April 2nd, 2016 8:47 PM
The Associated Press sent its cameramen and reporters out to get the reaction of small business owners to California's just-passed six-year plan to raise the state's minimum wage to $15 an hour.
Anyone expecting the AP to find representative responses clearly doesn't understand how the far-left propaganda machine disguised as an objective news service operates. All three business owners…
California's $15/Hr. Min. Wage Gives Public Union Employees Big Raises
March 31st, 2016 9:01 PM
A Los Angeles Times story by Liam Dillon and Patrick McGreevy hailed the "historic" increase in the state-mandated minimum wage to $15 an hour.
Apparently giddy with excitement, the pair also unwisely told readers that many public-sector employees who earn far more will be receiving big raises as a result of the legislation with having to bother negotiating with the government entities involved…
David 'Dying Husk' Brooks Praised Reagan the 'Revolutionary' in 2004
March 31st, 2016 2:09 PM
Wednesday morning, Tim Graham at NewsBusters observed how pseudo-conservative David Brooks, who is no fan of Donald Trump, gave the current GOP frontrunner credit for having "destroyed a dying husk" of "obsolete Reagan ideology" in the Republican Party.
That's fascinating stuff, given the catch of the day by Instapundit's Ed Driscoll. You see, 12 years ago, Brooks gave Reagan credit for having…
IBD and HuffPo Columnist Agree: Hillary Should Withdraw
March 28th, 2016 6:02 PM
Who says that there can't be occasional agreements across the partisan divide?
The free-market, liberty-loving editorial board at Investor's Business Daily and a Bernie Sanders-supporting columnist at the Huffingon Post agree on one thing: Hillary Clinton should withdraw from the presidential race. Okay, IBD wants her to "suspend," while HuffPo's H.A. Goodman says she should "concede." Both…
AP Hides Truth About Death of Moderate Muslim Asad Shah in Scotland
March 27th, 2016 3:37 PM
Perhaps it would be understandable if U.S. media outlets chose not to cover the death of Asad Shah in Scotland. After all, it occurred overseas, and only one person has died.
But the Associated Press did decide to cover the story and post it at its subscribers' U.S. news sites. As such, the AP has a duty to reveal what is known at the time its reports appear. Thus far, it has failed miserably.…
AP, USA Today Fail to Report Size of Sanders' Saturday Wins
March 26th, 2016 10:46 PM
When was the last time a badly trailing presidential candidate in either major party won relatively late-in-the-game contests by lopsided victory margins of greater than 70-30, as Bernie Sanders did in Washington today, and greater than 80-20, as Sanders did in Alaska? I'm virtually certain that the answer to that question, regardless of what happens in Hawaii's Democratic primary much later…
Press Ignores Bibi's Truth: 'Terrorists Have No Resolvable Grievances'
March 26th, 2016 12:00 AM
If we had today's establishment press covering America just before the Revolution, few would have learned of Patrick Henry's "Give me liberty or give me to death!" If they had been covering the Revolutionary War itself, there would have been a blackout on Nathan Hale's "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country."
Today's establishment press does anything and everything it can…

CNN: 'Hillary Can't Kill Coal; It's Already Dying' (Because of Obama)
March 16th, 2016 10:19 PM
In a Monday afternoon post which gets close to taking pleasure in the serious economic decline in the heart of the coal mining industry in West Virginia, CNN Money's Patrick Gillespie observed, based on Hillary Clinton's recent remarks about coal miners' jobs, that she "has no love for coal companies."
But in Gillespie's world, what Mrs. Clinton said doesn't matter, because "Clinton won't have…
Paper: Trump Rally Cancelled Because 'His Supporters Became Violent'
March 14th, 2016 9:01 AM
Layers of editors and fact-checkers at the Columbus (OH) Dispatch and others involved in its production "somehow" failed to detect the creation of an obviously false caption to a campaign rally photo of Donald Trump taken by a St. Louis Post-Dispatch photographer.
The photo, taken on Friday at Trump's St. Louis appearance by the Post-Dispatch's David Carson, had the following caption, apparently…
Carl's Jr. HQ Moving From Calif. to Nashville; Press Avoids Saying Why
March 10th, 2016 9:12 AM
For years, Andrew F. Puzder, the CEO of CKE Restaurants, the parent company of the Carl's Jr. and Hardee's fast-food chains, has been telling the world that while the U.S. government makes life needlessly miserable for businesses, California, where it has been headquartered, is exponentially worse.
This week, CKE announced that it is moving its headquarters to Nashville, Tennessee. A story at…
Obama Labor Dept. Rule May Curtail Financial Advice Talk on AM Radio
March 7th, 2016 3:16 PM
Score another blow for (allegedly) "unintended consequences."
A proposed 33-page rule applying to investment advisers emanating from the Department of Labor would redefine the fiduciary relationship between investment advisers and their clients investing for retirement, which is the predominant objective of most investors. According to the Wall Street Journal, the rule "could be released as soon…
