Apple TV has truly hit the peak of progressiveness, and there’s no turning back. The five-part documentary series Visible: Out on Television spells out the true agenda behind LGBTQ representation on television. Namely, the idea that “television is at its best” when it’s being used as a tool for the gay community.

At this point, there’s little that HBO’s The New Pope can do to shock audiences anymore. It’s already ridiculed the Church, propped up needless sex, and "upgraded" the Bible. Comparing “whores” to saints or revealing pedophilia in the high ranks is almost no big deal. And that’s what makes the series worse.

Every episode of Freeform’s Party of Five can basically be boiled down to this message: illegal immigrants good, border laws bad. There’s nothing an illegal immigrant can do that’s wrong, and the United States is evil and racist for trying to stop them. Case in point, we have a story dedicated to reminding us that “cruelty is the point” at detention centers.

This was bound to happen eventually. The latest episode of HBO’s The New Pope now has the audacity to suggest “upgrading” the Bible and the Church to include gay marriage. Somehow, I don’t think the series that’s bashed the Church and called prostitution a “miracle” has any right to lecture Christians.

Freeform seems determined to focus on transgender issues this week. First, we have the plight of transgender illegal immigrants. Now, The Bold Type wants us to feel sorry for transgender marathon runners. The marginalized community is truly growing smaller by the week.

Was there anyone left who doubted that the new Party of Five reboot is more liberal nonsense? After all, the Freeform drama practically encourages identity fraud for illegal immigrants on top of supporting illegal immigration. Not satisfied with simply overtaking its predecessor season, HBO’s The New Pope now seems determined to stuff as many offensive materials in a single hour. Within the latest hour alone, we have Marilyn Manson advising the Pope, rebellious nuns asking for equal rights, homosexual priests sleeping around, and even more breasts. Never before has a show about the Church so desperately needed Jesus.

HBO’s The New Pope is still attempting to prove itself just as bad if not worse than its predecessor series The Young Pope. To do that, the show proceeds to show us how the cardinals and priests ruin lives and are generally terrible people. This time around, they push a woman into prostitution and cause a nun protest. We’ve seen how little Freeform’s Party of Five thinks about U.S. immigration laws, but it turns out that was just the tip of the iceberg. Apparently, the 2020 reboot also doesn’t think highly of rich white people either. What a predictable development for this blatantly political show.

After everything we’ve seen from The Young Pope, the only way HBO’s follow-up The New Pope would stand out is if it tried to be reverent. Unfortunately, even after two episodes, it’s clear that we’re just going back to the same pattern of being obscene and insulting the Church. The “Second Episode” proves that with more nudity and a jab on how the Church “loves.”

In the Trump era, TV and liberal media always seem to want to talk about immigration.
