Finally unburdened by idea of connecting with people on the other political side, comedian Sarah Silverman gleefully mocks those in conservative media in the finale of her Hulu show I Love You, America. Alongside the traditional mocking of Christians and Jesus Christ, of course. Merry Christmas, everyone!

We’re only one episode away from finishing the first season I Love You, America With Sarah Silverman, and the end can’t get here fast enough for me. Until then, we still must suffer through yet another idea Sarah Silverman deems meaningful or just politically advantageous. Hulu’s I Love You America with Sarah Silverman has been just one insult after another for conservative viewers. With the crass humor and not-so-subtle slams against President Trump, it’s hard to believe this was supposed to be a program about connecting people. In fact, this latest show might encourage more animosity between political sides.

I think by now there is pretty much no one on the left side of the political spectrum who takes to heart Michelle Obama’s words “When they go low, we go high.” If there is anything the recent episode of USA’s Mr. Robot taught me, it is that fact alone. That is, unless someone can enlighten me how calling the sitting president a “buffoon” is now the high road. I’ll be waiting.

USA’s Damnation premiered last week with the completely unoriginal message of how communism is a good idea (spoiler alert: it isn’t). Here I thought Hulu’s I Love You, America with Sarah Silverman was starting to wind down after its shocking premiere and dismal follow-up episodes. This recent week proves to me that I should never expect anything less than the awkward at best, outright dirty at worst “humor” that comes from Sarah Silverman.
