MSNBC Morning Joe co-host Joe Scarborough was the latest in a list of dishonorable media figures to tie President Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s budget-cutting efforts to the idea of additional plane crashes. Unlike other analyses, Scarborough’s ramblings come from someone who likes to style himself as one of the few remaining principled conservatives.

The results of the Worst Media Take of the Week are in and the winner is….

Morning Joe devoted a segment today to fretting over Trump arranging peace talks with Russia on Ukraine without, at this stage, the participation of Ukrainian officials.  But the show ignored Zelensky's stunning statement: that Putin is "afraid" of Trump and that while Putin is a "liar," Trump can push him into peace negotiations because he is "scared" of Trump, who is "strong."

Joe Scarborough feels the pain of panic-stricken liberals in the age of Trump 2.0., and is doing his best to talk them in off the ledge, and to stay engaged, and trust that the system of checks and balances will "prove up to the task."

On Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough rips Donald Trump for criticizing Democrats in his comments at the National Prayer Breakfast. Scarborough cites the words of Jesus at the Sermon on the Mount. Scarborough's hypocrisy is stunning, given his penchant for criticizing Trump in the harshest of terms.

On Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough claims that the executive order on USAID is "literally killing people across the globe right now, this morning, this instant." Scarborough also condemns President Trump's executive order seeking to restrict birthright citizenship.
 

On Morning Joe, Mika Brzezinski chokes up in praising Caroline Kennedy for her "painful" decision to put out a video trashing her cousin RFK Jr. and his nomination as head of HHS.  Among other things, Caroline calls RFK a "predator" and accuses him of being responsible for the death of relatives by allegedly enticing them into drug abuse.

The Tuesday edition of MSNBC’s Morning Joe was equal parts outrageous and unintentionally hilarious as political analyst Anand Giridharadas mused that Trump Administration immigration enforcement operations are akin to “Gestapo raids” in “East Germany.”

Morning Joe and CNN This Morning fret the deportation of people swept up in deportation procedures seeking violent illegals whose "only crime" was entering the US illegally.

On Morning Joe, Mika Brzezinski gave a surprisingly candid take on the Trump pardons versus the Biden pardons. She recognizes that granting the pardons is Trump's right, and whereas Trump kept his promise of pardoning J6 participants, Biden did not keep his word that he would not pardon Hunter or other family members.

Poor Jon Meacham. The resident Morning Joe historian and occasional Biden speechwriter was in a decidedly dark and depressed mood on this Inauguration Day. Meacham was down on the United States in general, claiming that "for 250 years, [America] more often than not has gotten things wrong." And he was down on Trump in particular.
