On Wednesday's New Day show, CNN anchors John Berman and Brianna Keilar again showed their hostility to the right to use guns for self-defense as the show allowed Democratic guests in two different segments to slam Governor Mike Parson because the Missouri Republican pardoned Mark and Patricia McCloskey, who famously used guns to defend their home from trespassing protesters.

The Democrats’ star witness for President Trump’s first impeachment trial was back on television this morning to provide CNN more deranged commentary on the former president. New Day co-host Brianna Keilar let Retired Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman go off on Trump, blaming him for 600,000 dead Americans, left-wing riots, and America’s “slide toward authoritarianism.”

When it came to coverage of the Andrew Cuomo sexual-harrassment scandal, it was a tale of two networks this morning. MSNBC's Morning Joe devoted its entire first half-hour to covering the story in all its lurid detail. When you’re a Democrat, the media always finds ways to make excuses for your hypocrisy. After Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser was caught violating her own indoor mask mandate this past weekend, CNN journalists went out of their way to make excuses for the Democrat, and even saved their harshest criticism for her conservative critics instead.

One New York City business owner took CNN to task this morning, over their love for government lockdowns and mask mandates. After Mayor Bill De Blasio threatened to reinstitute mask mandates next week due to coronavirus variants, art dealer Eli Klein came onto CNN to blast the decision as “a blueprint for indefinite government restrictions in New York.”

CNN's New Day devoted a segment to mocking George P. Bush's unsuccessful effort to get Donald Trump's endorsement in the Republican primary for attorney general of Texas. At one point, Berman says that Bush spent weeks "desperately, adamantly, passionately prostrating himself before the former president. Kissing the ring—or the Latin equivalent." The Latin equivalent of ring is anulus.

Friday, the network had on Walter Shaub, former ethics chief under President Obama, to call out the White House for secretly working out a deal to sell First Son Hunter Biden’s artwork. Even the hosts didn’t bother to try to defend the questionable move, despite putting all their effort in before the election to discount the Hunter laptop scandal.

Conservative writer and political commentator Mary Katharine Ham was outnumbered on today’s New Day, but she still managed to make the liberal journalists squirm as she shamed the media for “fangirling” over Anthony Fauci.

In a heated interview today on CNN, Joseph D. McBride, the lawyer for Capitol breach defendant Richard 'Bigo' Barnett—famously seen with his feet on a desk on Nancy Pelosi's office—condemned  the conditions of detention for the defendants, labeling them "D.C. Guantanamo Bay," and repeatedly accused the authorities of "torture."

On Thursday's New Day show, CNN again catered to concerns by liberals who are worried that President Joe Biden will miss the chance to appoint a liberal to replace Stephen Breyer unless the Supreme Court justice retires in an hurry.  Chief legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin even went into a rant against Justice Breyer for refusing to retire at age 82.

The DNC hacks at CNN were trying to protect Democrats from themselves again Tuesday morning. On CNN’s New Day, co-host John Berman complained to Rep. Hakeem Jeffries [D-NY] that the right was harming his party by “using” Critical Race Theory and “defund the police” “against” them. Under close questioning by New Day co-host Brianna Keilar, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby doesn't deny the Taliban's claim that it has taken control of 85% of Afghanistan. Kirby supports Biden's claim that there will be no "fall of Saigon" moment in which people have to be evacuated from the roof of the US embassy in Kabul.

CNN's New Day devoted its opening segment today to worrying that Republicans will attempt to politicize 1/6 hearings and turn them into a spectacle. Co-host John Berman  said "the thing is when you wrestle with a pig, you both get dirty and the pig likes it. The Republicans, as you say, they want this to be dirty."
