For his “Reality Check” commentary on Monday’s New Day, CNN’s John Avlon broke out his Lexis-Nexis transcript searches in an attempt to shame Fox News Channel for its use of the term “Russia hoax,” as if CNN had somehow proven a nefarious collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government. CNN, of all places, had the audacity to complain about loaded chyrons from their competitors at Fox News. On New Day, new co-host Brianna Keilar ended the 7am hour ripping into Fox for “conspiracy theories and fear mongering,” a rich accusation coming from the network who  pushed the Russian collusion conspiracy hysteria for years.

The same network that has accused the GOP of “genocide” and ending the country” for violent protesters on January 6, spent this morning defending a Democrat for openly encouraging violence from left-wing protesters (while intimidating a jury!)

On New Day, CNN international correspondent Nick Paton Walsh, commenting on President Biden's decision to withdraw all US troops from Afghanistan, says "I think [Afghanistan] has been left in the lurch to some extent, some would say."  Co-host Poppy Harlow grills Democrat Sen. Chris Coons, who supports the withdrawal, on the threat to women's rights.

Of all the potential GOP 2024 presidential contenders, CNN's John Berman seems to have singled out Nikki Haley for special opprobrium. Who knows whether it's out of conviction, or a sense that an Indian-American woman might pose the biggest election threat to President Biden, or, as the case may be, to Kamala Harris, who also has Indian-American heritage? On CNN's New Day Saturday, the show ran a segment pushing a "war on voting" mantra against Republicans which even included a liberal guest accusing the GOP of pushing a "pandemic of apartheid" in new voting reforms.

On Friday's New Day show, CNN demonstrated that it will even tolerate venom against moderate Democrats who are not liberal enough for them as gun control activist Fred Guttenberg was allowed to suggest West Virginia Democratic Senator Joe Manchin would be to blame for future shootings if he does not help Democrats end the filibuster.

In spite of being school by a Republican guest earlier this week who defended the new voting law in Georgia, CNN's New Day show on Friday morning was still fearmongering over the issue as several guests were allowed to push their anti-Republican views.
